Kristian is a native of Northern California and draws upon the local palette of scenic landscapes, varied topography, and stunning natural light. His extensive experience includes projects spanning residential (custom single family and ADU), agricultural, winery, commercial, educational, and institutional building types. He holds a Master of Architecture degree from North Carolina State University College of Design and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Santa Cruz. Kristian is a California Registered Architect and maintains membership with the American Institute of Architects. He is an NCARB certificate holder, reserved for those Architects with the highest degrees of qualification, and is a certified LEED AP Building Design & Construction member with the USGBC. In addition to his work in Northern California, Kristian has completed numerous successful projects along the coast of central California, as well as in Raleigh, Durham, and Research Triangle Park (North Carolina).
Kristian has a history of success in garnering approvals for his clients, even on those projects with challenging sites and regulatory constraints. As a firm founder, he has acted both as a principal architect as well as an owner of a design-build construction company.
His work is characterized by sincere attention to detail, honest expression of materials and craftsmanship, and the integration of interior and exterior spaces. Kristian most closely values clear communication with clients at all stages of their projects and well-represented design solutions yielding a comprehensive and successful shared vision in the final product.
