Lorena’s broad experience ranges from the design of exquisite ocean-front custom residences along the coast of California to that of community-oriented public spaces. She is widely recognized for her design skillset, featuring a rich visual vocabulary and world-class representation abilities. Her passion for architecture is rooted in her upbringing in southern Mexico, where she learned the importance of preserving cultural heritage and environmental stewardship.
Dedicated to optimizing user experience and functionality, Lorena’s designs prioritize a deep connection between the built environment and its context, ensuring that each project is not only aesthetically pleasing but also sustainable and functional.
She graduated as a the winner of the Emeritus Faculty of the Department Design Achievement award upon receiving her Master of Architecture Degree from North Carolina State University College of Design and has received additional notable recognition as a winner of the Urban Land Institute Gerald D. Hines competition (national honorable mention with first place in-state), winner of CityCamp for urban greenway navigation design, and winner of the logo design for the Mexican Council of the Carolinas. In addition to her active practice in the field of architecture, Lorena has served as an instructor of architectural hand drawing techniques and 3D design software, with an emphasis on building information modeling.
Her works have been featured in publications including Luxe Interior + Design magazine, DesignMilk, and DesignBoom. Recent projects of Lorena’s include new construction and renovation single family residences, ADUs, wineries, health clinics, restaurants, and hospitality facilities.
